There will be an auction of special "gloves" from Detroit athletes to benefit Mittens for Detroit.

Also that day, the Detroit Red Wings will be hosting a "Mittens for Detroit Day" at the game.Volunteers for MFD will be at entrances to Joe Louis Arena with donation boxes to collect new gloves for MFD as well as checks made out to NWCF/Mittens For Detroit for a tax-deductible donation that will be used to purchase gloves from Michigan-based glove companies.
